We left on the 17th at 3:30 am to drive two hours to the airport through a torrential downpour. When we got to the airport we were told that our flight had been cancelled. Uh. What? They found a way to reroute us and rebooked us to get into Honolulu 7 hours later than expected, but still on the same day. Flights went smooth after that… except for a dreadful 5 hour layover in LAX.
When we got to the island it was 9:00 local time, which was 2:00 am AR time… I was pooped. We were greeted with fresh leis and a smiley driver to take us to the hotel.
|After 22 hours of traveling, we FINALLY made it!|
Our room overlooked Waikiki Beach, and was fabulous.
We went to a welcome breakfast, which happened to be a complete waste of time, but hey… who turns down free breakfast?
To the beach we went, and relaxed in the sun. What better to do in Hawaii? We did have to break for J to watch game 6… :(
We visited Pearl Harbor the next day and I’m so glad that we did.

After Pearl Harbor we headed to a Luau. :) It was so much fun! The only thing I wish we had done differently is looked up a luau that was adult only. Kids were the main buzz kill on this trip… something about vacation is like crack to those little monsters. :/
I got our wedding pictures from the photographer yesterday, so I’ll post more of those as soon as I figure out which ones are the best! :)
I missed you all!
