One of my coworkers brought a box of Krispy Kremes again… and he knows the maple donuts are my favorite, so there are a few in the box. Normally I come in and see the donut box and I instantly think “OOOH donut!!!! I’ll have just one!” Then an hour later, I eat another… lately I’ve added a third in the afternoon. Which is nauseating, if we’re being honest.
I ran this morning, and ate my oatmeal and blueberries, and I’ve had enough water and just one cup of coffee. I was so good. My redeveloped muffin top tells me I should avoid everything for months.
Then I saw the donuts. I wanted one. So I ate half of one. I made that compromise, but I wish I hadn’t. I have resisted the other donuts in the box. I had to move it where I can’t see it… They were staring at me with their beady little eyes. All sugary and soft, like little pillows of caloric hell.
