Happy New Year’s Eve, everyone! Thank you for all the support I got yesterday from my “on the wagon” post! I’m excited to embark on this journey with all of you.
As 99.99% of you already know, it’s New Year’s Eve (if you’re the .01, you didn’t even read my first sentence… #rude) and I’m going to take a look back at the year, but also give you some insight as to what is in store for Mr. and I in 2014!
~Wedding planning started January of last year, and it almost killed me. If I could go back in time and insist that we eloped, I would. Hands down. BTW-if you’re engaged? ELOPE. Skip the wedding, it’s a waste of time and money.
~We had a wedding, on June 8th. Everything went off like it was supposed to, we got married (YAY) and the dreaded event was FINALLY over! YYYYYAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!
~Honeymoon to Hawaii was the best. I’m tellin’ you… if you get the chance to go… GOOOOO! We didn’t really love Oahu, so skip that island. Unless you’re into seeing Pearl Harbor, which was really cool and definitely worth the time. Also, go to the Big Island and snorkel with Manta Rays. This was probably on my Top 5 coolest things I’ve ever done in my life list.
~Started back to college. I’ve taken the looooong road to a bachelors degree, but you know what? At least in December, 2014 I will walk across that stage and receive my diploma and I will know that I have achieved a major life goal. I can’t wait!
~Learned how to be married. This one is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I would be lying if I told you marriage was easy. Is it worth it? Hell yes. Every single day is worth it, and I love him every single day. I never regret my decision, but it’s a different way of life to live for your spouse. Anyone who is married and tells you that being married is easy is sugarcoating things for you (or they’re just much better at it than I am, apparently). Marriage is totally awesome and worth it, IF you have the right man for you. If you’re a single lady out there, do NOT settle for the wrong man because you’re ready to get married. Wait for your man, and it will all be so worth it! :)
~Buying a house! We go look with an agent on Saturday! I can’t believe it’s so close! I am ready to have a real HOME. Not to mention the neighbor doing some iron work last night at 10:00 made me homicidal. *poor Jake* He’s unharmed, don’t worry! Haha!
~Finishing my degree.
~Reaching my final weight loss goal. I intend to make 2014 count. I’m going to achieve my goals and I’m going to lead a lifestyle to maintain what I’ve achieved. There’s no reason for me to keep yo-yoing.
How does 2014 look for you? What are some of your goals/big events you know will happen in 2014?
